Laukkuja tablettitietokoneille - Bags for tablet computers

Farkkutilkkulaukkuja on tullut tehtyä monelle eri kokoiselle mobiililaitteelle, tällä kertaa esittelyssä  tablettitietokoneiden laukut. Kaikissa näissä laukuissa on irroitettava hihna, laukkua voi siis käyttää paitsi tabletin suojapussina, myös olkalaukkuna. Laukut on täysin vuoritettu ja niissä on useita sisätaskuja. Laukun koko on 25 x 30 cm.

I have made a lots of bags for different sizes of mobile devices. This time I'll show you my bags for tablet computers. All these bags have removable strap, so the bag can be used not only as a cover for tablet, but also as a shoulder bag. The bags have lining and they have several pockets inside. The size of a bag is about 25 x 30 cm. All these bags can be bought from Finnish Craft and Design -fair here in Tampere 18.-20.11.2016, hall C, sales point C704. If only you are in Finland on those days, I can promise you it is worth visiting this fair.

Tämä on oma suosikkini. Laukussa on n. 100 kpl kaksireikäisiä punaisia nappeja.
This is my own favorite. This bag has about 100 red buttons with two holes.

Nappilaukkuja - Bags made of buttons

For a long time I have been wondering if it could be possible to make something else of buttons than just jewelry. When I found out how to make a flat piece just by using buttons, paper yarn and pearls, I could start product development. Now I have made a bag, a necktie (a necklace like a necktie) and a collar (a necklace like a lose collar). Here I show those bags, neckties and collars will be shown later. The strap is removable and can be used as a necklace for example with the medallion which comes with the bag. I have made two other bags, too, but they are in an exhibition just now, and I do not have a picture of them.

These bags could be good enough to be used for example if you get an invitation to the Finnish Independet day's celebration. These can be bought from Finnish Craft & Design -fair in Tampere 18.-20.11.2016, hall C, sales point C704. If only you are in Finland on those days, it is worth to visit the fair.

Matelijoita - Reptiles

Pituutta kaverilla on kuonon päästä hännän päähän yhteensä 93 cm.

In 1970's my father traveled around the word and installed plywood machines. He spent half a year in Brazil, too, and as a souvenir he brought a stuffed baby caiman, stuffed piranhas, poison arrows of natives and a leather helmet of gauchos. After several years I got the caiman and it hanged alone on the wall of my living room. I watched it for a long time and noticed that I can make a a friend for the lonely one, and so I did. I crocheted almost a copy of the original, made it of paper yarn (Minipaper) and stuffed it with old craft magazines. We can say that the one I made is totally made of paper (except the eyes are wooden pearls). The length of the fellow I made is 93 cm from nose to tail.

Omaan versiooni halusin avonaisen suun jotta hampaat näkyvät paremmin.
In my version there is an open mouth because I wanted the teeth to be more visible. And it was much easier to make it so.

Yksityiskohdat kaveruksissa ovat aika lailla samanlaiset, eikö?
The details of the friends are much the same, aren't they?

Kaulakorutelineen teko-ohje - Instructions how to make a stand for necklace

Ohje on vapaasti käytettävissä. Kuvia on paljon, juttu latautuu ehkä hitaasti.

This year my buton jewelry are better on display than year 2014. That's why I  made a lot of stands for necklaces by using all recycle material. I used double corrugated cardboard, wall paper, fabric, water soluble glue and some yarn. There is a lot of pictures, the page may load slowly.

1)
Cut from corrugated cardboard a piece as shown in picture (size about A4), one piede of same size from wall paper + one piece about 3 cm larger in every direction and two strips longer than curved part of cardboard. Here I used a 2,5 x 10 cm strip.
2)
Liimaa aaltopahvi isomman tapettipalan päälle, leikkaa tapettia kuvan mukaisesti.
Add glue on cardboard, put it on the larger piece of wall paper, cut as in picture.
 3)
Liimaa kaarevan osan suikaleet.
Glue the parts of curved part look like in picture
 4)
Liimaa tapettisuikale kaarevan osan päälle peittämään leikkuujäljet.
Glue the wall paper strip on the curved part to cover the cut tracks.
 5)
Leikkaa suikale seuraavien kuvien mukaisesti, taita reunan yli ja liimaa paikoilleen.
Cut the strip as in following pictures, bend over the edge and glue on it's place.

 6)
Glue the straight sides as in picture, glue the backside on it's place and put the stand under weight to straighten until the glue is dry. If the stand is meant to lean to wall, it is ready. If it has to stand independently, instruction goes on.

 7)
Cut a strip about 5 cm shorter than the stand, width about 4-5 cm. Cut a piece from fabric as shown in picture, glue it around the cardboard strip from 3 sides. Glue sealed the long fabric strip of the narrow side of cardboard and secure glue staying for example with clothespin.

 8)
Liimaa tuki telineen taakse keskelle.
Glue the parts together as in picture. Secure the angle of chamber by sewing a yarn through the stand and the narrow part.

Yhden kaulakorun teline on valmis.
The stand for one necklace is ready.

Teline kahdelle lyhyelle kaulakorulle.

Läppärilaukkuja - Bags for laptops

Marraskuun käsityömessuja varten olen ommellut farkkutilkkulaukkuja pääasiassa eri kokoisille mobiililaitteille, mutta tulee sinne myyntiin "tavallisia" käsilaukkujakin. Mobiililaitteiden laukut ovat lähes kaikki litteitä suorakaiteita, käsilaukuissa on enemmänkin muotoilua. Kaikkia mobiililaitteille tarkoitettuja laukkuja löytyy kahdeksaa eri väriyhdistelmää, käsilaukkuja on yksi malli/väri.

For the craft fair in November I have made bags for different sizes of mobile devices. In addition to these there will be also usual handbags, too. Bags for mobile devices are mainly flat squares, handbags have more design. All bags for mobile devices can be found in eight different color combinations, handbags have one color/model.

When I started sewing these bags, I had stripes of jeans all together 387 meters. One laptop bag needed about 12 m/bag, quite a lot of laptop bags could have been done of that amount!

Läppärilaukuissa on pehmustus (akryylihuopaa), sisällä 3-4 pikkutaskua ja yksi iso, johon mahtuu tablettitietokone (melkein kaikissa laukuissa). Laukkujen koko vaihtelee hieman, leveys 37-45 cm, korkeus 32-35 cm. Melkein kaikkia laukkuja voi kantaa myös olkapäällä. Yhden suikaleen leveys ommeltuna n. 2 cm.
Laptop bags are upholstered with felted acrylic, they have 3-4 little and one big pocket inside. Into the big pocket you can put a tablet computer (almost every laptop bag). The size of these bags varies, width 37-45 cm, height 32-35 cm. Almost every bag can be carried also on shoulder. The width of ole strip is about 2 cm after sewing.

Kaikissa läppärilaukuissa pohjan voi muotoilla leveämmäksi. Tämä kuva ei tosin ole paras mahdollinen...
The bottom can be shaped wider in every laptop bag. This picture is not the best possible...
