Makuuhuoneen verho - New curtain into my bedroom

Kuluneen vuoden aikana on tullut virkattua yhtä ja toista, mm. tällä kertaa esittelyssä oleva makuuhuoneen kappa. Lankana ohut pellava: valkaisematon lanka 3-kertaisena ja oranssi 2-kertaisena, koukut nro 2 ja 1,75. Pituus 3 m, leveys 10 - 63 cm + 6 - 9 cm "hapsut". Painoa verholla valmiina kilon verran (sisältää nappien painon) ja nappeja "hapsuihin" käytettiin 597 kpl. Malli ihan omasta päästä.

Verhoa paikoilleen laittaessani saatoin vain ihmetellä kuinka löytyy ihmisiä jotka haluavat tehdä saman työn (verhojen vaihdon) useamman kerran vuodessa. Itse vaihdan verhot sitten kun saan uudet tehtyä, yleensä n. 10 vuoden välein.

During this year I have crocheted many things, including this curtain into my bedroom. I used very thin linen yarn: non bleached 3 yarns together, orange 2 yarns together, and I used hooks number 2 and 1,75. This curtain is 3 meters long, 10 - 63 cm wide (+ 6 - 9 cm "fringes") weights one kilo (including buttons) and I used 597 buttons to make the "fringes". Model is my own.

When I put this curtain into its place I could only wonder how is it possible that there is many people who want to do this operation (change curtains) many times in a year. I change new curtains every time I have made new ones, usually about once in ten years.

Myöhästynyttä halloweenia! - Delayed Halloween!

Oikea halloween-juhla taisi jo mennä, mutta siitä huolimatta tässä muutama Nextiilissä tekemäni halloween-aiheinen tyyny. Tyynyjä tuli tehtyä kyllä enemmänkin, mutta tässä parhaat.

The original Halloween has been gone now, but I still want to show some Halloween-cushions I made at work (Nextiili). These are the best ones, I made many others but these are the ones I want to show.

Hymynaama meni kaupaksi tunnin päästä myyntiin laittamisesta. Toinen "kaiverrettu" kurpitsa on kollegan suunnittelema, itse en keksinyt enempää "kaiverruksia".
The smiling pumpkin was sold within an hour after putting these for sale. Other "carved" pumpkin is my colleague's design because I could not create more "carvings".

Halusin tehdä myös pelkästään kurpitsan näköisiä tyynyjä, eivät nämäkään kauaa ostajia odottaneet.
I wanted to make pumpkin-look-like cushions, these were bought also quite quickly.

Beige makuuhuoneeni - My beige bedroom

En yleensä oikeastaan pidä beigestä väristä, mutta muutama vuosi sitten sain ilmeisesti tilapäisen mielenhäiriön ja mieleni alkoi ihan mahdottomasti tehdä beige-valkoista päiväpeittoa makuuhuoneeseen. Leikkasin tilkutkin jo valmiiksi, mutta siten aloin miettiä että entä jos en pidäkään koko peitosta. Peiton teko sitten jäi, mutta jostain ihme syystä päätin kuitenkin maalata makuuhuoneen beigeksi, tehosteväreinä murrettu oranssi ja valkoinen. Seinien ja ovien maalauksessa kului 4 rullaa maalarinteippiä.

Matot ovat valkoiset, verhot valko-beiget, päiväpeitto puolestaan ruskea-oranssi-beige-valkoinen.

I do not usually like beige color, but some years ago I obviously temporarily got out of my mind and suddenly wanted to make a counterpane colored beige and white. I cut all the squares needed, but then started to hesitate that I might not like the result. So I did not make the counterpane, but of some strange reason I decided to paint our bedroom beige, effected with dusty orange and white. Painting the walls and doors demanded 4 rolls of masking tape.

Carpets are white, curtains white and beige, counterpane colored with brown, orange, beige and white.

Joka seinä on rajattu vaaleammalla beigellä, koristeraidat tummempaan beigeen on tehty liimalastalla. "Boordinauha" on maalattu 2 pitkälle seinälle, leveyttä "nauhalla" max. n. 25 cm.
Every wall is bordered with lighter beige, decorations on darker beige are made with liquid soft plate. "Border tape" is painted on 2 long walls, width of the "border" is max. about 25 cm.

Verhoihin ommeltu 64 nappia.
