Kaksinkertainen virkattu verho - A double layer crocheted curtain

Ensin piti tekemäni tummanvihreä verho mökille makuuhuoneeseen. En kuitenkaan löytänyt kuin yhden kartion vihreätä lankaa, eikä se olisi riittänyt koko verhoon, joten kun kerran virkkaushinku oli tosi kova, muutin suunnitelmia. Päätin tehdä kaksinkertaisen verhon, ja aloitin valkoisella osiolla, sen jälkeen vihreä ja sitten molempien yhdistäminen. Sivuverhon osuus on 40 x 170 cm, kappa 53 x 140 cm, painoa n. 1,6 kg. Kumpikin kerros on virkattu kakkosen koukulla, kerrokset yhdistelty käyttäen koukkuja 4 ja 5. Valkoinen kerros on 100 % pellavaa, vihreässä kerroksessa kalalanka ja ohut pellavalanka. Malli ihan omasta päästä. Jos joku haluaa samalla tekniikalla tehdä verhon, suosittelen käyttämään molemmissa kerroksissa samaa materiaalia.

At first I was supposed to crochet a dark green curtain into my country house. However, I could not find enough green yarn (even though I was sure that I had bought it 3 rolls), and because of that I had to change my plans. I decided to make a double layer curtain, and I started with the white layer, then the green one and then connect both layers. The long curtain is 40 x 170 cm, the one which comes above the window is 53 x 140 cm, weight is about 1,6 kg. I made the layers with hook number 2 and connected layers with hooks number 4 and 5. White layer is 100 % linen, green layer has one yarn cotton and one yarn linen. I designed this model myself. If someone wants to make a curtain with same technique, I recommend to use the same material with both layers.
