Nappilaukkuja - Bags made of buttons

Olen jo pitkään miettinyt voiko napeista tehdä jotain muutakin kuin koruja. Kun keksin miten saan aikaiseksi levymäistä tuotosta pelkästään nappeja, paperinarua ja helmiä käyttäen, alkoi tuotekehittely. Nyt on toteutunut ainakin nappilaukku (iltalaukku), nappisolmio (solmion kaltainen kaulakoru) ja nappikaulus (irtokauluksen kaltainen kaulakoru). Tässä vaiheessa esillä noita laukkuja, solmiot ja kaulukset myöhemmin. Laukkujen irroitettavaa hihnaa voi käyttää kaulakoruna esim. laukun mukana tulevan riipuksen kanssa. Olen tehnyt pari muutakin laukkua, mutta ne ovat tällä hetkellä näyttelyssä eikä niistä ole kuvaa.

For a long time I have been wondering if it could be possible to make something else of buttons than just jewelry. When I found out how to make a flat piece just by using buttons, paper yarn and pearls, I could start product development. Now I have made a bag, a necktie (a necklace like a necktie) and a collar (a necklace like a lose collar). Here I show those bags, neckties and collars will be shown later. The strap is removable and can be used as a necklace for example with the medallion which comes with the bag. I have made two other bags, too, but they are in an exhibition just now, and I do not have a picture of them.

These bags could be good enough to be used for example if you get an invitation to the Finnish Independet day's celebration. These can be bought from Finnish Craft & Design -fair in Tampere 18.-20.11.2016, hall C, sales point C704. If only you are in Finland on those days, it is worth to visit the fair.
