Solmioista tehtyjä - Made of neckties

Olisikohan solmio uusi farkku? No todennäköisesti ei ainakaan minun kohdallani, minulle farkkukangas on lähestulkoon pakkomielle, odottakaapa vain mitä kaikkea teenkään farkkukankaasta jatkossa! Mutta olen minä solmioistakin tehnyt tuotteita, tällä kertaa esittelen Nextiilissä tekmiäni solmiotuotteita.

Could neckties be new jeans fabrics? Probably not in my case, for me jeans fabrics is almost an obsession, you only wait and see what I'll make of jeans somewhere in future! Anyways, I HAVE made products of old neckties at work in Nextiili.

Pöytäliina. Koko jotain 50 x 100 cm tai jotain sinne päin. Ryppyinenhän tuo näyttää olevan, mutta ompelepa täysvinoa täysvinolle kankaalle, eihän siitä muuta voi tulla kuin ryppyistä, vai voiko?
A tablecloth. Size about 50 x 100 cm or something like that. It looks very wrinkled, but if you sew diagonal into diagonal fabric, you can not get anything else but wrinkled, can you?

Pinkki-sininen kassi, vuoritettu, sisällä ja ulkona taskuja, farkkukangasta lisänä. Koko ehkä 40 x 40.

Punottuja solmiotyynyjä, tässä vihreä versio. Tyynyn koko 40 x 40 cm + n. 5 cm reunus.
Woven cushions made of neckties, here the green one. Size of the cushion is 40 x 40m cm + 5 cm rim.

Itse tykkään tästä enemmän kuin tuosta vihreästä versiosta.
I like this more than the green one.

Rahi, tai oikeastaan taittopatja jossa solmioista ja farkkukankaasta tehty päällys. "Rahin" koko n. 70 x 70 x 40 cm.
Footstool, or actually a folded mattress, which has been covered with neckties and jeans fabrics. The size of the "footstool" is about 70 x 70 x 40 cm.

Joka sivu on eri värinen.
Every side is made of different shades of blue or purple.

Myöhästynyttä halloweenia! - Delayed Halloween!

Oikea halloween-juhla taisi jo mennä, mutta siitä huolimatta tässä muutama Nextiilissä tekemäni halloween-aiheinen tyyny. Tyynyjä tuli tehtyä kyllä enemmänkin, mutta tässä parhaat.

The original Halloween has been gone now, but I still want to show some Halloween-cushions I made at work (Nextiili). These are the best ones, I made many others but these are the ones I want to show.

Hymynaama meni kaupaksi tunnin päästä myyntiin laittamisesta. Toinen "kaiverrettu" kurpitsa on kollegan suunnittelema, itse en keksinyt enempää "kaiverruksia".
The smiling pumpkin was sold within an hour after putting these for sale. Other "carved" pumpkin is my colleague's design because I could not create more "carvings".

Halusin tehdä myös pelkästään kurpitsan näköisiä tyynyjä, eivät nämäkään kauaa ostajia odottaneet.
I wanted to make pumpkin-look-like cushions, these were bought also quite quickly.

Farkkupäällysteisiä raheja - Footstools covered with jeans fabric

Sain töissä uudistettavakseni pari aikansa elänyttä rahia. Farkku kun on lähes pakkomielteeni, joten nuo rahitkin piti päällystää farkkukankaalla, tietysti kierrätetyllä sellaisella.

At work I got two footstools which needed new covers. Because jeans is almost an obsession for me, I had to cover those footstools with jeans, too. And of course all materials are recycled.

Ensimmäinen rahini, korkeus 30 cm, halkaisija 48 cm. Kun sain tämän valmiiksi, päätin ostaa sen itselleni, tykkäsin siitä niin paljon.
My first footstool, height 30 cm, 48 cm diameter. When this was ready, I decided to buy it myself because I loved it so much.

Tämä, edellistä  suurempi rahi myytiin parin päivän kuluttua näytteille asettamisesta.

This footstool, larger than the one above, was sold two days after we put it on sale.

Tyhjän seinän fobia? - Phobia of an empty wall?

Olen jo aiemmin kertonut että minulla on jonkin asteinen pakkomielle (lue tämä päivitys), mutta minulla taitaa olla myös tyhjän seinän fobia. Tähän tulokseen olen tullut kun olen katsellut sekä vakituisen että kesäasunnon seiniä. Moni muukin on varmaan samaa mieltä kun katselee tämän päivityksen kuvia jotka ovat kesäasunnon olo- ja makuuhuoneesta. Melkein kaikki seinämme näyttävät lähes yhtä täysiltä.

I have earlier told that I have some kind of obsession (read this update). I'm afraid that I have also a phobia of an empty wall. This result I got when I watched the walls of our flat and country cottage. Very many of you may get the same result after watching these photos, which are from the living- and bedroom of our country cottage. Almost any of our walls look like these.

Nämä kolme kuvaa ovat makuuhuoneesta. Näkymättömällä alueella on ikkuna, oviaukko ja peili.
These three pictures are from our bedroom. On the invisible area are window, door and a mirror.

Makuuhuoneen yksi seinä on täynnä vaatekaappeja. Tyhjää valkoistakaan en näköjään siedä, oli pakko kuvioida ovet.

One wall of our bedroom is filled with closets. Empty white seems also to be one of my phobias, I had to decorate the doors.

Tekokukkia - Fake flowers

Olen aiemminkin tehnyt tekokukkia, silloin ne olivat ihan aidon näköisiä (http://nappijapaperi.blogspot.fi/2016/03/eihan-kukaan-voi-tehda-aitoja-nobody.html). Tällä kertaa hieman vähemmän aidon näköisiä kukkia, materiaalina olkatoppaukset, paperinaru, pitkät grillitikut, rautalanka, helmet, liima ja lakanasuikaleet.

I have earlier made fake flowers which looked just like authentic flowers in nature (http://nappijapaperi.blogspot.fi/2016/03/eihan-kukaan-voi-tehda-aitoja-nobody.html). This time a little less authentic flowers made of shoulder pads, paper string, long barbeque sticks, iron yarn, wooden pearls, glue and narrow stripes of cotton sheet.

Nämä kaksi seuraavaa muistuttavat hieman kallan kukkia.
These two look a little bit like calla flowers.

Tästä en sitten tiedäkään mikä tämä olisi.
I have no idea what this could be.

Tämä yrittää esittää ruusua.
This is supposed to be a rose.
